Primary Care Doctor in Port Arthur, TX

Dr. Pickard was born and raised in Southeast Texas and graduated from Nederland High School in 2010. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and his medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Pickard completed his internship and residency at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. His training solidified his desire to practice whole person healthcare for the whole family, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

“Throughout my training, it has become evident to me that preventative medicine for the whole family is the key to living a healthy life. Many of the chronic conditions that affect our population today could be helped by taking preventative steps before those conditions occur. I truly believe that the specialty of Family Medicine involves treating the whole family. From toddlers to grandparents, the relationships that are built when seeing the whole family is second to none. I am not one to push medications on my patients, but rather have a discussion on why or why not the medication is needed and come up with an individualized plan for each patient. As your Family Medicine physician, it is my goal to assist you to be as healthy as you can be, and to be your ally to help navigate the modern healthcare world today.”

He and his wife are excited to return back to their hometown and look forward to serving the Southeast Texas community.
