About

Josie received her Masters of Science in genetic counseling at Boise State University in 2021. She has experience in cancer and prenatal genetic counseling, and joined CHRISTUS Children's in November 2022 as a prenatal genetic counselor.

Josie works with families who are pregnant or considering a pregnancy to help them understand their genetic risks and options for genetic testing.  Common indications for prenatal genetic counseling include routine prenatal genetic screening or testing, advanced maternal age, birth defects, abnormal ultrasound findings, family or personal history of a genetic.
