About

Dr. Luke Gabe received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.  He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he received awards for clinical, teaching, and research excellence, including being named Resident of the Year within his residency as well as the entire hospital system.  He went on to practice as a hospitalist prior to completing a subspecialty fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Network in Tucson.  He has published articles in leading journals in his field, serves as a peer reviewer for several journals, and currently serves on a national guideline committee for the American Thoracic Society.  He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and an inductee to the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Gabe was born and raised in the rural White Mountains of Eastern Arizona and frequented New Mexico throughout his childhood.  He and his wife Jessica, also from the White Mountains, are excited for their family to return to mountain living in the Southwest, and to becoming a part of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent and Santa Fe communities.  Dr. Gabe looks forward to continuing the strides that CHRISTUS St. Vincent has made in delivering consistent, excellent care in its Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary clinic.
